Had a monster job in this week.
Simple usb mobile dongle wouldnt run no matter how many windows and tools settings we changed.
Ok usual assumption customer has changed or deleted something of importance in the setup--- solution wipe reload and start from the beginning.
Still nothing.
try hardware in another Pc all works fine
Finally pinned the problem down to media centre edition of windows.
But no help out there as in how to fix it.

the microsoft fix works fine until you shut down and restart.
So anybody who has bought the broadband pay as you go dongle and cant get it to run (or worse using it as a dial up modem at 17p per minute)
drop by the shop one reg edit and a donation to the coffee fund and you will be up and running.

Should also note we can unlock them too to use orange and t mobile cards. As a side effect of this your card will now download at 7.2mps not 3.6mps.
Also if you want the adult content on the web you do need to ring vodafone with proof of age.
