In recent news Gordon Brown is calling for a ban on violent video games,

now I don't know about the majority of people but I play games for fun, I've enjoyed games with or without blood or violence for many years and I'm a sound well rounded human being.
This isn't a new argument this debate has been going on for years even since the blood in an old game called
carmageddon was forced to be made Green! and the people you hit were no longer people but zombies!
Now I believe that if someone is going to kill, injure or harm someone it is inherently in there nature to so, not in the power of a video game to force that persons desires. at the end of the day if the games or other materials aren't available then that person will inherently find that stimulation elsewhere.
This change if the
BBFC get there way in the UK may force gamers underground, Games will be downloaded from torrent sites from other countries or imported. ultimately hitting our economy and possibly are games industry in this country.
Maybe the government should stop moaning about the creations of game developers and leave our freedoms intact and instead police the illegal sales of video games to under aged users maybe even increasing the age of some games to 21 and imposing fines.
Have a look and see what you think.
