Firstly I’d like to make one thing clear, you cannot buy an off the shelf PC under £1500 from a high street store and expect it to run any games well. They even remove components so you can’t upgrade them, my friend who shall stay unnamed bought a PC on credit, £1500 which he will have to pay, he was sold it as a gamming PC, to his shock and horror it can’t run Stalker, Oblivion or Fear very well, it had only an ATi x1600 installed. He saw the numbers ooh “quad core” “2 gig of Ram” and a 512mb graphics card, little did he know that that card costs £44! For a gaming rig that’s incapable of running anything. When he complained they said, “Does it pass the minimum specifications of the game?” obviously it does my phone does! But it will run like a picture show frame by frame! And they told him to go away! It doesn’t matter about your Dual or Quad core, even your ram it’s your video card that matters! So when you order a Gaming rig off us know that our basic rig comes with a few hundred pounds worth of video card not £44 quid! Our rig will be custom built and starts at only £699 not a whopping £1500. Our current Gaming king in the shop can run any game full detail online without a stutter it costs a fraction of the high streets best. For now the High street store will remain unmentioned, but know this, they all do the same thing! Ben Head Technician and PC Gaming enthusiast |
